Peter Ward - Chief Executive Officer
Peter is an entrepreneurial qualified accountant with degrees in Economics and Management. He has over 20 years experience in the recruitment of professionals across all business sectors.
Prior to launching Employer Connections with Hugh Fordham, Peter was the Founder and Chairman of Martin Ward Anderson Limited (MWA). He sold MWA to Randstad NV in December 2005, having grown the business from a one-man start-up to a leading European recruitment consultancy with a turnover of £40 million.
His earlier career included launching new business start-ups for Michael Page International plc and various senior finance roles at multinationals in the technology, manufacturing and service sectors.
Peter is married, and has 4 children. His interests include travel, football, rugby, golf, music, reading and family.
Hugh Fordham – Chief Technology Officer
Hugh is a creative and entrepreneurial technology specialist with an MBA and a degree in Engineering. He has 10 years experience managing software development for recruitment and talent management systems.
Prior to launching Employer Connections with Peter Ward, Hugh was the Enterprise Architect for StepStone ASA. He joined i-Grasp in 2004 (i-Grasp was bought by StepStone in 2005) and was Head of Product Development during its period of rapid growth and transformation into the European leader of e-recruitment solutions.
His prior employment was as Operations Director at World Careers Network plc, having joined shortly after its start-up and listing.
Hugh’s early career was as an Engineer and Manager with Schlumberger over 11 years, working in France and Asia, before his final role as Head of Recruitment for the UK and Ireland.
Hugh is married, and has 3 children. His interests include football (coaching and spectating), music and family.
